Welcome to the heart of Canadian Mar Thoma Worship

Our journey began humbly in 1972, as a small group gathered for worship at the University of Toronto. Since then, our congregation has flourished, expanding to 1000+ members and a state-of-the-art church building which is the second-largest Mar Thoma church in the Diocese of North America.

We were proud to host the very first Diocesan Family Conference in 1982, and the 15th and 25th Family Conferences in 1997 and 2007, respectively. We are now delighted to host the first ever Canada-regional Family Conference!

Check your email and whatsapp for your Welcome package

The resultant enthusiasm of small worshipping communities inspired our late Metropolitan The Most Reverend Dr. Juhanon Mar Thoma to permit the commencement of Holy Communion in 1972 at the Trinity College Chapel of the University of Toronto under the leadership of the late Reverend Abraham Lincoln.

The Canadian Mar Thoma Family Conference is an annual gathering of Mar Thomites from across Canada, aimed at fostering spiritual growth, community bonding, and family connections within the Mar Thoma Church - this Family Conference is the first of its kind in Canada!

The conference will take place from October 11, 2024 to October 13, 2024 at The Canadian Mar Thoma Church in Stouffville, Ontario.

The conference is open to all members of the Mar Thoma Church, regardless of age or background. Families, individuals, and youth are all encouraged to participate.

The conference will feature a variety of activities including worship services, keynote speeches, workshops, cultural performances, youth programs, and recreational activities for all ages.

Registration can be done online through our website - please note that up to 4 (four) attendees can register in 1 (one) form. You may pay via cheque or e-transfer - if paying by cheque, please make it out to "The Canadian Mar Thoma Church Toronto" and add the memo, "Family Conference 2024"
